My students often get tired of sitting in traditional desks all day long. When they come into the Academic Support class they look forward to having flexible seating options. When talking to the students about what they wish we had in our classroom, they mentioned some book titles to start. However, the discussion quickly turned to how uncomfortable it was to sit on the hard, cold floor or in a traditional desk. But imagine how inviting it would be to have a large, comfortable chair to curl up on while enjoying a book! My students don't want to spend more time sitting at their desks; they enjoy the freedom my classroom provides to choose a comfortable working spot all around the room.
