This class set of dictionaries will be put to good use. The use of dictionaries is a part of our everyday classroom activities. One of the greatest skills a reader can have is the ability to look up and clarify words in their text. A dictionary is a tool students can learn to rely on as a key to new understanding. This tool has the potential to improve reading skills, oral vocabulary, and the written voice. I have very old dictionaries in my classroom and they are falling apart. I hope to have a brand new set to start off the new school year!
