My goal is to develop a love for health and fitness at a foundational age so that it becomes part of my student’s daily lives as they grow older. This was instilled in me at a young age and has helped me develop into a health conscious, fitness loving adult. As a professional educator over the last nineteen years I have watched my students thrive on being active not only in the classroom but also in the gymnasium. This grant would allow me to change the mindset of Physical Education creating individuals who can strive to be active and fit no matter their athletic ability. Thus making everyone feel successful attaining personal goals they have set for themselves. I desire to teach all of my students how to be fit and active no matter their age, background or environment. This is a lifelong habit worth instilling in our future leaders. I am requesting fitness equipment and heart rate monitors to aid in my students success as they work towards their personal goals. This project is a circuit training project that targets and focuses on aerobic endurance, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, agility, balance, coordination, power and speed. Please take into consideration how this project could impact the lives of so many students now and in the future.
