The students in our urban community come from diverse backgrounds, and have limited access and experiences that are common among students across our country. My students enjoy learning innovative concepts. I love seeing the enthusiasm in those young eyes when they discover that they have mastered a concept in a diverse way. Our school site is located in the Los Angeles county. We are a Title 1 school, which means that a majority of the students come from low-income households. Our students are not given an opportunty to be exposed to experiences that will expand their curiosity for learning. I want them to afford the opportunity to succeed in their education and in life.
