Our annual carnival is our biggest family involvement activity of the year. Many of our families come to the carnival to build community and have some fun. The supplies used for our carnival allow us to offset the cost of the carnival and make it more affordable for our families. We work extremely hard at our school to build a great school community where all students feel welcomed and cared for. Our annual carnival allows us to connect with the families of our school and community in an informal and FUN way. This event reaches over 500 families each year and many other community members join in on the fun as well. Many of the items selected in this project will be used for prizes in our carnival games. Who doesn't love a good fidget spinner or bouncy ball? In addition, some items will be used for concessions at our carnival. Cotton candy is always a favorite concession at the carnival. There will also be face paint and henna tattoos being done at are carnival and those are listed in this project as well. All of these supplies allow us to keep the price for the carnival minimal for our families allowing everyone who comes to participate.
