Music plays a very important part in our culture. It is present in a variety of social and educational activities. I would like to enhance the student's education at my school by giving them opportunities to learn to play fun musical instruments. The ukuleles that I am asking for will help benefit the students that attend the school in many ways such as helping students to develop a sense of discipline and commitment to playing the ukulele. It also helps them think creatively and develop problem solving skills such as students learning to play the strings to produce certain sounds. Our culture is taking this type of essential learning and development away from young children due to excessive television watching, computers, tablet use, and smartphones. There are many benefits to children learning to play musical instruments such as mind and body working together, coordination, and dedication.
