My art students are inner city kids who love to use their creativity on a daily basis. Most live in the same neighborhood and receive free school lunch because of low income status. Not much money at home shouldn't prevent them from being given the chance to receive a world class art education though! Most of my students don't have many art supplies at home, so I like to provide them with varied experiences with different media. Since our school promotes a college going atmosphere, I want students to be able to create diverse portfolios to apply to art high schools and eventually colleges.
