A iPad in our class room opens up so much of the latest technology to our students. Students will use the music apps to improve the musicianship. Tonal Energy is a tuning app. Drill Book Next is a marching drill app that reads marching drill with animation. Garage Band is a looping app that students use to create their own compositions. Smart Music is cloud based music library that opens up thousands of works for solo, small ensemble, and large ensemble settings. Videoing our performances for self evaluation allows the students to become more critical and have greater awareness. Music reading apps expand the students library of literature without buying a lot of printed music. Technology in our classroom opens up the world beyond the walls of the band hall.
