These materials will provide comfort and safety for some very young learners to access a great education. The materials will help me get to know the students and earn their trust by inviting them into a welcoming and safe environment. With these basic comforts in the classroom the students will be able to join together harmoniously to explore their new environment and learn social skills with each other. The environment will encourage opportunities to work cooperatively with peers and adults in the room. The carpets will provide coziness and entice students and teacher to work together on the floor for circle time, songs, puzzles, building blocks and language learning through comfortable discussion and sharing.
