Students in my high school classroom are almost always willing to talk with one another, but group work can often become daunting with the current desks supplied to my classroom. Besides the fact that every desk is right-handed (which really hinders the students who are "lefties"), they cannot be moved into shapes that are conducive to group learning. The tables and stools will help to open up an otherwise crowded classroom, allow students to move easily, and make projects and assignments easier for collaborative learning. By contributing to this project, you will be helping my students not only become more engaged in their own learning but also become better collaborators.

About my class
