My students have been using triple beam balances to measure lab materials. I feel that having electronic balances will cut down on time spent measuring and give students more time to discuss and investigate the proposed problem. Electronic equipment will also help students get familiar with new age science equipment. this will better prepare them for a future in science. Bringing modern equipment into the classroom will be a great investment into my student's future. Most of my students have never seen or used an electronic balance. I want them to be educated in tools of the future so they can be confident and ready for any challenges they may face.
