The ability to take apart and decode words is an essential part of learning to read and write. One great way to learn how to manipulate letters into words is using magnetic letters to break apart and build words. My students need engaging activities to help them learn how words work. Having magnetic letters will allow my students to grow as readers and writers. It will give them tactile experiences manipulating letters and sounds to help them grow. We are implementing a new word study system in our classroom, but we do not have the magnetic letters or cart with pocket chart to help us complete the lessons.
