I am the new Parent Engagement Coordinator at United For Succes Academy in Oakland, CA. I am here to build my community into one with solidarity and strength that facilitates the wholistic support that our students need. I am here to serve over 150 students and their families with academic and social barriers they may be facing . The new parent resource center will be able to host an array of services for parents, teachers, and students. It will serve as an after school parent/teacher yoga class to recharge and connect. It will serve as a parent workshop and resource center where parents can be connected with social services and programs they may need, educational and career advancement opportunities, and family support workshops to have an active role in the growth and development of their children's lives Additionally, this space is used by students for counseling and tutoring services. I appreciate your help
