These microscopes will help with the following standard (s): - MS-LS1-1 -MS-LS1-2 -MS-LS1-3 -MS-LS1-8 Learning science is done with hands-on type of labs and experiments. Some of the topics that I go over in science needs microscopes, which is something that we do not have at school. Because of this, when going over cell structures, we are unable to do the labs that deal with microscopes, so I show the students online through image or video what some of the things would look like under a microscope if we were to have them. With so many students returning after going through a year of not coming to school in person due to the pandemic, it is important to me to get them to enjoy coming back and not being bored. Having the microscopes for science would be a huge step forward in getting students excited and wanting to come to school to learn. I feel that being able to do hands on labs in science is critical for those that have been gone the last year, as it gets them excited to come to school and gives them something to look forward to each day.
