In our 5th grade class we have 31 amazing and diverse learners that accomplish great things each and every day. We come in ready to go and continue to push ourselves as we grow and learn together throughout the school year covering all the main content areas of language, writing, math, science, and social studies. What more do we need? Although there is no lack of spirit in our class, what do do lack is funding for materials of all sorts. The budget provided to teachers barely covers the basic supplies given to our students - the majority of whom would not otherwise have any - so by mid-year there is nothing left. Not even pencils and lined paper. As their teacher, I do my best to keep these items available, but with your help, we can do so much more to make our learning environment stocked with all things necessary to give our future leaders the resources they so greatly need. Please help! Thank you so much.
