My students need headphones in order to effectively use their Chromebooks. Most of my students do not have them because of economic status. Students get on a variety of programs such as Dreambox, Splash Math, Moby Max, SmartyAnts, etc... all of these programs talk to them. It makes it very hard for students to focus on their own Chromebook when they hear the feedback from the three other students' Chromebooks at their table. Often times this causes unauthentic assessment results because of their lack of focus/concentration. We have tried to lower the volume on them...but then they cannot hear. Having a class set of headphones would greatly benefit these students in using the aforementioned programs to enhance their learning.
