My first grade students are tremendously charismatic and are preparing to be well-rounded readers. To meet our goals, we need a computer. This academic year, I will be implementing technology in our reading classes to ensure students receive a balanced approach to literacy instruction. The use of technology will be beneficial to student advancement by providing them with opportunities to experience books and learn content in a multitude of ways. Because we currently do not have a computer available in our classroom, my first graders are missing out on opportunities to explore reading through fun, innovative programming to expand their minds.
