Students will be able to observe the activity of microscopic organisms taken from the local environment using a microscope with an adapter that their cellphone fits into. This will allow them to identify different species of protists and other microscopic organisms. They will compare samples over time to determine levels of stability and impact of human activity on the environment. My students will conduct authentic independent research using photo and video technology to document observations. They will ultimately create a multimedia presentation that includes voice over-narration and video/ and or photo documentation.
