The pedometers I am asking for will be used on a daily basis with students as a way to motivate them to increase their movement while in my class. At the beginning of my class each student will put on the pedometers and be able to track the amount of steps they take during class. With the pedometers students will also learn about making goals, as I will have them make a step goal daily, weekly and monthly. We will track the amount of steps we take and be able to work towards our goals of being more physically active. The pedometers will give the kids the ability to see their goal of living a healthier lifestyle being reached. These pedometers will be able to be used for years to come and help students as young as kindergarten begin to understand the importance of physically activity. The addition of pedometers will keep the students engaged and have them even more excited to come and learn while in PE!
