My students are bright individuals who are eager to learn and will do whatever they possibly can do to achieve their goals. Despite where they live, my students want to do whatever they possibly can to go to college and be the best they can be. The school we attend is one that was placed on the School Improvement Grant created by the state of California. Even though our school was placed on this list, my students have done so much to do their best on the state standardized test. Last year, my class was able to obtain 82% of students to be either proficient or advanced on the 8th grade science test. These students are 90% minority and 98% qualify for free or reduce lunch.
