I want to incorporate books within my lessons to reduce the amount of transition time and increase the amount of student learning time. By using books with lessons students will be able to make real world connections to create a better understanding of concepts and ideas. My students have little access to books outside the classroom which makes it vitally important that they read as much as possible at school. The books sets that I would like to receive for my students are science fiction, historical fiction, and a mixture of leveled readers that students will be able to utilize.
