By receiving these books, my students will be able to read texts that are relatable and pertinent to the daily lives they lead as opposed to reading texts that are 20+ years old with language that my students do not understand as the way we speak in today's society has changed. My students love to read and like to be engaged and feel as if they are part of the story, and with the books my school currently has, they are not engaged which is resulting in the students losing their desire to read. My students and myself would greatly appreciate anything you are willing to give.
