My students need high interest books to fill our classroom library.These books are a necessity for our school, which does not have a functional library. These resources will be used to create a beautiful, student centered classroom library with high interest books that will create a literary world of wonder for my middle school students. These books will promote engagement with books and develop fundamental literacy skills that our student population needs. The students will check out books from our class library to build their reading fluency and a love of books. They will use the bean bags during reading time to create a comfortable environment. These highly engaging books will help our young people to connect to language and literacy during the school day. These moments of connection will build their foundation as readers and thinkers as well as bring up their reading level. This will help them to compete at the level of other students at the same level. We hope to build a love of reading and a student centered environment that feel loving and encourages students to connect to school.
