All of the students in our elementary/middle school band are eager and excited to learn their instrument and perform. They are, however, missing one seeming small but vital part of the equation. A stand to put their music, their method book, or even a simple metronome on. By supporting this project you are help over 30 students (and hopefully more at some point) get a good start to their musical journey. We all know the importance of the arts and music in school. Music helps to improve test scores in math, improve understand in language arts with the use of various language in music, serves as an outlet for students struggling with depression, anxiety (especially being back in person after a pandemic), and serves as a way to give them voice and identity and learn how to cooperate and work as a team. I want to thank you for your time and consideration in helping me give these students the gift of music.
