My project will provide technology needed to do research and extend lessons in science. My students will use the laptop computer to watch videos and other visual representations of the different science concepts that we are learning. The lessons will motivate students, enhance their learning experience, and provide exposure to information that they would not have received anywhere else. For example, the laptop can be used as a center where the students will explore alternative uses of energy by watching videos of windmills, solar panels, and turbines in action. The students will also gain virtual reality experiences that can grant the students an opportunity to experience visiting places that they may never get to see. In order to carry out this lesson, my students need this laptop for the online research, experiences, videos, and audio-books. The students are currently limited to one class computer for 21 students. Adding the laptop to our classroom would give more students the opportunity to use technology which is needed for today's generation to be successful and to effectively learn. My students enjoy using the computer that we have, however adding a laptop to our class would make these experiences better for my students.
