PBL or Project-Based Learning "is a student-centered pedagogy that involves a dynamic classroom approach...in which students acquire a deeper knowledge through active exploration of real-world challenges and problems." - Wikipedia This project will give my students the opportunity to investigate authentic multi-faceted problems. With little technology equipment at their disposal, I believe these HP Chromebooks will allow my students to engage in real-world problem solving, and work at their own pace over an extended period of time to complete my projects that are designed to incorporate and reinforce various math skills. They will be able to gain knowledge by responding to challenging tasks through online research in the classroom. Collaboration skills will be enhanced as students work together to impact the school and their community.
