My students are dual language learners with the ability to do anything, the sky is the limit. In choosing to get a 3d printer we thought we could use it to solve real world open ended challenges. There was only one problem, no filament. The students are eager and willing to learn and explore further in how they can see a need and design something to solve the problem. In working with this group I have seen how they need new technology to integrate with their creativity. Using the 3D printer students can build pritypes, or actual products to help fellow classmates and students make their school a better place. We will create a list of problems which need to be solved for our school and our students will use their creative problem solving minds with assistance from our brand new 3D printer which is only needing filament. New technologies, new problems and new solutions!
