My hope is that when students arrive to my classroom they will greeted by bright, math enriched decorations that will inspire creativity. Math can be an intimidating subject, especially for at-risk students. My decorations, and theme will allow students to access math in a way that alleviates anxiety. We will study the historical significance of math, and its rich history that includes people of color. We will examine math across the different continents,and find ways to connect what we are learning to learning across the world. Its important that students feel at home in my classroom, and have sense of peace and tranquility.
