The Time magazines and leveled reading books I am requesting are culturally relevant to the students and will help them build the love of reading. In addition, the resource of the Time magazines I am requesting are for the students to stay informed of the world around them. When students are given materials that are accessible and culturally relevant they are more likely to engage in reading on a daily basis and build a love for reading. These materials will greatly impact my students and their learning process for them to relate the outside world and to their world through fiction and non-fiction materials.
