Who doesn't love a good story? These audio books and portable CD players will allow students to listen to fluent reading for a sustained period of time. As they listen and follow along with the text, students will have the chance to build their comprehension, word recognition, and develop their own oral language skills. Furthermore, the portable CD players will allow the students to be able to find a comfortable place to sit and read, instead of being tied to a computer. When students have some freedom to move around and get comfortable, they are much more willing to devote time to reading for longer periods of time.
