We need a color printer and toner in our dual language classroom to be able to print out their projects, posters, word wall pictures to help them have a pictorial representation to go with the text. A print-rich environment is a must in a dual-language classroom. My students not only need words printed but also pictures to support their language development. They need to print pictures of activities, pictures to serve as context clues for their academic vocabulary, word games with picture cards and flash cards. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve the classroom environment, you will ultimately help to close the achievement gap. With your help my students will be able to increase their vocabulary in both Spanish and English making them able to be successful citizens in an increasingly culturally, linguistically and ethnically diverse society.
