In light of the saying K-2 students learning to read and the grades after the students read to learn. Listening to stories on the record helps them to read along. I think that a child listening to a story and being able to break down the elements of the story will help them understand the story. I will encourage my students to read along with their fingers to learn words by site as well as the phonics sound. Children use the headphones to listen to music and pick up the words after listening once or twice I feel that learning should be handle in the same manner.
