When I created this project, I hoped that someone would see the needs of my students and believe in our classroom. When I found out that my project was fully funded, I felt incredibly grateful and blessed. Knowing that generous people took the time to support my students was a moment I will always remember as a teacher.\r\n\r\nWhen the candies and toys arrived, my students were so excited! Their smiles, curiosity, and happiness made the experience special. They could not wait to see the rewards and learn how they could earn them. These items have become an important part of our classroom reward system. I use them to recognize students for their hard work, behavior, effort, kindness, responsibility, and perseverance.\r\n\r\nThe rewards are more than just candies and toys. They help me celebrate the victories that happen in our classroom. When a student completes an assignment, participates in a lesson, helps a classmate, follows directions, stays focused, or shows improvement, I can recognize it. These moments help students understand that their effort matters and that their progress is worth celebrating.\r\n\r\nI love seeing students feel proud when they earn a reward. Sometimes a little encouragement is all a student needs to keep trying when something feels difficult. The rewards give me a way to motivate my students and remind them that success is not only about getting the right answer. Success can mean trying again, making a good choice, showing kindness, working together, and believing in yourself.\r\n\r\nThis project has also had a meaningful impact on me as a teacher. Because this was my first-ever DonorsChoose project, having it funded gave me encouragement and confidence to continue finding ways to meet my students' needs. It showed me that there is a community of people who care about education. Your generosity has reminded me that teachers do not have to do everything alone.\r\n\r\nAs we continue learning, I will use these rewards to encourage my students to work toward their goals. I want every student to feel noticed, valued, and capable. I hope that each reward becomes a reminder that their hard work is seen and appreciated. The students have really enjoyed using the Elkonin boxes ti form words. The division in the boxes helped them isolate the sounds. It was very helpful using the different color chips as individual letters.\r\n The snacks that were also donated were greatly appreciated. We are using the resources to compile a weather journal. The timer is extremely useful in keeping us on pace. Discussing the weather each day made the Red Moon that occurred on September 7, 2025 super exciting. The students used the posters and texts to connect the weather with their journals. \r\nThe students were excited when they saw the materials. The colorful books really engaged them with completing the journals each day. The clipboards allows students to work anywhere in the classroom. The crayons aids them in expressing their ideas visually. When visiting the Calm Down area students use the crayons to draw and color to express their feelings. The crayons are also used during math instruction to draw models. The party favors are a big hit with students.
