Students on the Autism Spectrum require many different sensory-based activities built into their daily routines. Sensory regulation is necessary for my students to make it through their day. The use of fidgets and stress balls, with different sensory textures to them help them to focus their attention into their hands and helps them focus. Through these sensory-based items I will be able to help regulate their bodies and emotional state in order for them to succeed in the classroom and out of the classroom. Students with Autism's sensory systems are heightened, noise canceling headphones, as well as deep pressure based tools, such as a weighted blanket allow them to receive the input they are seeking.
