We need a tablet to serve as a screening device to project student work on the board for all to see, as well as the founding device for a student tablet library. Being able to cast students' work via picture and video to the board for all to see will make discussion, analysis, and engagement so much easier for students. They will be motivated to show off their correct work, more inspired to ask questions of their peers, and more likely to work through mistakes as they see others do the same. I also hope to one day have a library of tablets for students to use as they finish classwork. We have access to quite a few excellent data-driven online educational programs, but not very many devices on which to use them. Being able to have at least one (and one day more) tablets to use to push students who need individualized practice will make my classroom much more versatile.
