Many of our students come from low-income families who are not able to fund experiences outside of school. Our school is hosting "club time" to allow students to experience a club during school hours. We hope a podcast will intrigue students to learn more about careers within digital media and engineering. Many jobs are via media and hope to encourage students to develop passions and careers within this field. We hope to introduce new career opportunities that they never knew could be an option. We hope to engage our students through the podcast by discussing topics that interest the students and allow them to voice their opinions about school. Students who feel as if they have a voice, also feel cared for, considered, and safe. Our school is looking to foster a love for creation while inspiring a desire for continuing careers outside of K-12 education.
