The expectation to have students sit still is no longer a reasonable expectation to have in education. Students need an option for fidgeting, that isn't disruptive to other classmates. The alternative seats and footrests will give students an outlet in class while maintaining focus at their desk spaces. I currently have 1 alternative seat in my room. I have resorted to a sign-up, as many students needs this option to help them stay focused in class. I am requesting more seats to allow more students at one time this opportunity. The footrests will allow a similar outlet for fidgety students.
