As my students prepare to read, I always give them the option to sit wherever they'd like. The popular spots are never the desks, where they spend the majority of their day. The spots that get taken first are my handmade crate stools, cushions, or balance discs. By adding the Jellyfish ball and the Hokki stools, it will open up a new variety of seating options for my students who need to fidget in a positive, non-disruptive way. I realized that when I let the students have the freedom to create their own learning environment, they became more engaged and open to learn. Having these different seating options would benefit my students by keeping them engaged, eager, and enthusiastic about their learning, and give them a choice about where they learn.
