Now that I am the new Art Teacher in school, I have been able to see so much talent and potential in ALL 650 students. They are AMAZING ARTISTS! Students LOVE learning and creating with exciting materials! Seeing their eyes open wide with excitement as I introduce a new medium every week impulses me to keep enhancing their talents. The year is separated into four categories: collage, drawing, painting and 3D. With collage we used tissue paper for landscapes and settings, mosaic tiles for fish, construction paper for transportation vehicles with setting and wallpaper for birds. With drawing we will use graphite for shading self-portraits, colored pencils for animals, soft and oil pastels for still life/fruit/vases, markers for butterflies, and charcoal for sketching. For painting we will use watercolors for flowers/color/food, markers for butterflies and fish. We are a community that embraces life and each other!
