Imagine an indoor space where children can run, jump, and climb! If this project is funded, the materials listed below will be used to create a motor lab for our school! This will be a dual use area for students to expand their gross motor skills by exercising their bodies; while also providing a cozy corner, targeting mindfulness, for students who crave a quiet space. The special education team will teach our students to choose to access the lab in times when they need an energy break, or as an opportunity to cool down after a stressful situation. Most of the requested items target students' gross motor growth, including the trampoline, tunnel, and ball pit. Our cool down corner will have a variety of cozy seating options including bean bags, vibrating cushions, and pea pods.
