The daily use of an iPad is crucial for my students learning in 5th Grade English Language Arts. Each day we have 20 minute reading rotations. Our students are required to utilize the program, iReady, for at least 45 minutes a week, along with completing two reading articles on Achieve3000. With my classroom being limited to only five laptops it makes this requirement difficult to meet. This leaves students having to choose which program to dedicate their time to. Both programs offer engaging differentiated lessons and activities to each learner. In addition, they provide immense amount of data to drive learning in other areas of the classroom. The use of an iPad in the classroom will improve reading comprehension, deepen vocabulary and have students using critical thinking skills every day! By being able to gift them with this donation, they will have more opportunities and exposure to learning on their level. This will ensure that they reading goals they have set for themselves can be met with flying colors!
