In 2019 my students and I lost our entire school and our homes to Hurricane Dorian. At the end of 2020, we are finally beginning to rebuild our school. We have suffered terrible losses but we have endured and we are stronger. I want to rebuild what we lost but make it even better - more flexible, more creative, and more engaging. I would like to give my students more options and independence in their learning. By including our porch as an extension of our classroom, I can provide students with more options in the form of an outdoor classroom. With the requested table, seats, and cubby unit I can give them a choice of where to work and increase their engagement in learning.
