We read books each and every day to our ELL students. Having more of a variety will help reach many learning styles and learning needs. Students will read books to enhance their understanding of fiction and nonfiction texts. Many skills we cover will include making connections, retelling, visualizing, wondering, using text features, poetry, summarizing, and determining main idea and important details. These titles will support ELL educators by reaching the many diverse needs of our students. Classroom teachers have been provided many books that support the standards, so having these texts will help support the classroom teachers with reading standards.
