I am requesting a class set of The Hate You Give. We just finished our second novel and I want to keep my students reading for the remainder of the year. This book will not only give my students an opportunity to read but it will teach them about some of the major social issues we are now facing. This gut-wrenching novel will be a brilliant point of connection as I develop students who LOVE to read and crave effective life lessons. My students need to have the physical text to interact with. Since most of them are English Language Learners this brilliantly written book will allow them to be exposed to new words in appropriate social context.
