I have honor students who have applied for the position of flag bearer for the school. These students help raise the flag before school and lower the flag after school. They care for the flags and perform Honor Guard duties when called upon. We teach our students to honor our flags and what they represent. Having flags that are in good condition helps us to demonstrate our respect for the flags and what they represent. We also use the flags in our Veteran's Day celebration that is well attended by parents and community leaders. Foe this reason. also, we need flags that are representative of our respect for our veterans. The United States and Texas flag along with the pencil sharpener will allow all the students to benefit school wide. The pencil sharpener will allow my students to sharpen all those dull pencils and complete their grade level work effectively.
