My students lack confidence & struggle taking risks in many learning environments and social situations. Beginning at a young age, they have demonstrated minimal success in the general education classroom. Some of our students have experienced trauma. Some have physical and speech & language deficits. All of them have a huge heart and sometimes have difficulty showing it! I have an urgent need to teach social skills, so my students can feel confident! My students going horseback riding will offer them an incredible learning experience while taking risks, exploring the world, learning ways to trust. The leardership skills they will acquire horseback riding will allow them to achieve their personal and academic goals throughout life!
