Students will engage in group reading activities where they will be asked to analyze the text and act out several scenes from the books. Students will read from the works as they act out the scenes from these pieces. This is not possible right now, because the students are reading from their laptops. They cannot hold these and act scenes out at the same time because the laptops are far too clunky. The students also genuinely enjoy the sensory experience that they get from feeling the pages on their hands as they work through the book. This project would allow the students to enjoy an immersive experience with the text and draw them into the thematic aspect of both pieces.
