Students having their own earbuds will allow for individualized learning in my classroom. Our students have 1:1 technology (laptops) for instructional use which is wonderful but students need these earbuds so they can hear instructional videos, songs, etc. without the interruptions of other student's sounds on their laptops. My project will make a difference because kids, by nature, are very easily distracted, and when 20 laptops are blaring different sounds, they have a hard time focusing on the task at hand. This project will allow my students to be 21st century learners in a rural environment and prepare them for a technologically enhanced future!
