After being affected by Tropical Storm Harvey, about 50% of our students lost almost everything they had and some were displaced from their homes. I want to help my students feel that school is where they can feel the love and support they need. Our school would be their source of stability. With the addition of iPads in our classroom, my students will access the latest technology available. They will be able to access apps that strengthen skills and enable higher level learning. Despite the many hardships these students went through, they continued to be eager to learn and do their best. Their love for learning and growing exceeds any kind of financial void that is present. They inspire me to give my all. Their passion for life is present in their smiles. They are motivated each day to reach their goals and their full potential. In turn, they motivate me to be the best teacher they will ever have!

About my class
