Students read complex primary and secondary source texts through which they explore United States history. They use Google Docs, Slides, and the multitude of awesome apps to write essays, articles, poetry, stories, and to create dynamic media-rich projects to demonstrate learning and to connect to the real world. My students have unique experiences and ideas about the world and would love to share them with other young people in neighborhoods different from their own. It's important for my students to become tech natives in order to close the education gap that keeps them from high paying jobs and pursuing careers in STEAM fields.

About my class
